Craig and Lauren’s love story began like many do, through their cell phone screens, on the dating app “Coffee Meets Bagel”. After five years of dating, traveling, and enjoying life together, Craig knew that it was time to ask Lauren to marry him. Where better to pop the question than one of their most treasured places - Churchill Downs, just days before the 149th Kentucky Derby?
Craig worked his magic behind the scenes, coordinating with the Kentucky Derby Museum to orchestrate the perfect proposal. On the magical morning of “Dawn at the Downs,” as the thoroughbreds danced upon the track in preparation for glory, Craig and Lauren took a private tour. As the tour ended, Craig dropped to bended knee in the paddock of Churchill Downs, the place where legends are made. Lauren of course answered with a resounding “Yes!”
The couple enjoyed a bourbon-soaked Derby-themed engagement party before finalizing the perfect location for capturing their love through an engagement session. Where better to memorialize their love than the fairytale splendor of The Kentucky Castle, a place so close to the couples’s heart?
